What is the difference between LCD and QLED?
LCD is a traditional LCD TV, and QLED is what we call a quantum dot TV now. Although quantum dot TVs are a type of LCD TVs, both of which are passive luminescent, there are still obvious differences between the two.
Sally went to the store to learn about it. The salesman first tested it with me. He turned on the flashlight of his mobile phone to shine on the LCD Screen, and he could clearly see the "m"-shaped light. When introducing the QLED TV, he showed it to Sally. Based on the principle of light emission, he took out something similar to a small box. After the "small box" was connected to the power supply, it emitted three colors of red, green, and blue, which had a strong visual impact on people. Then the staff turned on two different TVs and played the latest popular TV series at the same time, and introduced to Sally: "The color gamut of LCD TV is 100%, while QLED can reach 137%". In contrast, QLED TVs have fuller colors, more realism, and a better overall sense of picture. Its advantages in color are clear at a glance.
The TCL TVs and LCD TVs that Sally saw in the store are all in the 1,000 yuan range, while the QLED TVs start at the lowest price of 10,000 yuan. However, with the improvement of people's quality of life, LCD TVs can no longer meet people's demand for color, and it is inevitable that quantum dots will replace LCD TVs.
